Family Engagement & Parent Resource Library

The Family Engagement Room and Parent Resource Library are located in portable J2. This room is available for all students and parents.

If a student is in need of assistance with school supplies, clothing, coats, toiletries, or food please contact our Family Liaison, Katy Slota. She can be reached at (505) 255-8691ex. 20560.

We have a mobile food pantry on the first Friday of every month at 3:30 in the drop-off/pick-up loop. If you and your family are in need of food assistance, please contact Katy or come to the mobile pantry. We will place the boxes of food in your vehicle for you. Everyone in the community is welcome.

Thank you to the following individuals and organizations for their ongoing support to Jefferson:

Katy is always in need of the following items:

  • body wash
  • shampoo
  • deodorant
  • toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • lotion
  • lip balm

Donations can be dropped off in portable J2 or the main office.

All of these items go to our students and families most in need. Thank you for your ongoing support. It is because of the Jefferson Community that we are able to support so many of our families.

If you would like to volunteer, please let Katy know and she will help you with the APS volunteer background check and our wonderful PTO will pay the fee. We love having our families volunteer. Your presence makes a difference for our students and it is much appreciated.

Please see the “Families Connected” videos. They are full of information and can assist you with everything from Parent Vue to how to support your student at home.

Katy can also assist you with a variety of resources that include rental and housing assistance, P-EBT, utility assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, and more.
