2024-25 Jefferson MS Tennis Team Information

Welcome to Jefferson Middle School Tennis!

Players of all levels are welcome. I am planning on a yellow ball team and a green dot team (geared toward middle school beginner players), however the teams will be dependent on the number and level of the players. If there are a large number of players and some at the beginner level, we may also have a “Club” team that does not engage in match play.

• Dates: Practice will begin Monday August 19. Practices will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons until match play starts. Match dates have not been determined but will probably be on one of those days. Please note that Coach Cormac is running informal practice sessions at the Tennis Club of Albuquerque at 8 AM on Mondays. 
• Practice time: 3:15- 4:30 PM
• Practice Location: Tennis Club of Albuquerque (Indian School and Girard)
• Home Match Location: TBD, most likely Jerry Cline Tennis Complex. Away matches will be at various locations. Parents will be responsible for arranging transportation for their player.
• How to register: Here’s a link to register your player. Jefferson Tennis Registration Players MUST be registered to participate.
• Cost: $70 per player (includes practices and match play, program costs like tennis balls and other equipment, coach stipends, a t-shirt and end of year gifts). Cash or check are preferred method of payment. Checks made out to me (Margy Wienbar). If there is need for a scholarship, please let me know."
